Jan Trojan - Soundwalk
Premiere: New Town Hall, April 4, 2014
I am interested in the space between sounds because it invites me to reflect on what is commonly called tone, harmony, color, and rhythm,
or music in general. I understand SOUNDWALK as a sound space (I avoid the term "composition" on purpose) that offers a different perspective
on listening to sound, noise, and silence – the way I perceive them while walking through a soundscape. I would hope this short soundwalk will
open an acoustic experience in the sense of the German "in sich hineinhören": getting to the inner self through listening.
Silence is the space between two sounds.
