Slavomír Hořínka
(*1980)
comes from Valašske Meziříčí. He studied violin at Pardubice Conservatory with Dalibor Hlava and continued with composition at the Academy of
Performing Arts in Prague with Prof. Ivan Kurz. He spent three months at Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Prof. Daan Manneke, Jorrit Taminga, Ned McGovan).
In 2008 he graduated in the doctoral programme under the guidance of Hanuš Bartoň. His compositions were premiered by the Czech Philharmonic, Czech
Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra, Berg Orchestra, B. Martinu Chamber Orchestra, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, Benewitz Quartet,
Moens Ensemble, Puellae Cantantes etc. Since 2006 he has taught at the Department of Composition at Music Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts,
Prague.
