Jan Trojan : Domine, Tu es mecum!
Premiere: St. Wenceslas Church in Vršovice, April 6, 2009
This work is based on my vivid memories of the time I spent with prayer, inner dialogue, and cathartic silentio in the Caphuchin monastery at Prague’s Loreto. While it expresses thanks, praise, joy and love, it also expresses the doubt, hesitation, indecisiveness, and the many questions I had while preparing for the sacrament of baptism. “If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it will obey you.” (Luke 17:6)
