Martin Hybler : Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter and Homecoming
Landscapes for sixteen string instruments, two wind instruments and speaker inspired by poems of Jan Solovjev
Premiere: Ecotechnical Museum, September 14, 2009
I have tried to capture the changing landscape during the seasons of the year, and the poetry of the painter Jan Solovjev provided wonderful inspiration. Having the eye of a painter, he expresses with words the fragility and transience of beauty, and with almost child-like candor he confesses his love for the Bohemian Paradise region. He gave me an intimate perspective on the everlasting bond that we are bestowed with, either consciously or unconsciously, for life. As for Solovjev, for me Bohemian Paradise is a region fascinating for its diversity of the particular and remarkable for the perfectly formed silhouette of its whole. Pleasant encounter not only with my native region!
