Marko Ivanović
(*1976)
graduated from Prague Conservatoire and Academy of Performing arts both as conductor and composer. Regularly collaborates with the prominent Czech performers of contemporary music (Agon Orchestra, Moens Ensemble, Berg Orchestra). His piece "Des Wahnsinnigen Morgensuite"(2003) is included in monography by S.Niedermayr "European Meridians". Staging of his chamber opera "Girl and Death" was awarded with the Director of the Festival Prize at Opera 2003 festival. He frequently writes incidental music for stage, radio and film. He is an associate teacher with the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague. As a conductor he collaborated with numerous Czech and foreign orchestras. In 2003 was awarded at International competition for young conductors of Gregor Fitelberg in Katowice (Poland). Since 2006 works as a conductor of the Opera of the National Theatre in Prague. There he collaborated among others with the director Miloš Forman at staging of a jazz opera “Well Paid Stroll” both as orchestrator and conductor.
