Haštal Hapka – new work (world premiere)
Georg Friedrich Haas – weiter und weiter und weiter (Czech premiere)
Veli Kujala (FI) – quarter-tone accordion
BERG Orchestra & Peter Vrábel – conductor
New work by young Czech composer Haštal Hapka precedes a recent composition by renowned Austrian composer Georg Friedrich Haas.
Created in 2022 in parallel with his autobiography, where the composer, originally from the Austrian Alps, comes to terms with
the shadows of the past and frees himself from the dark legacy of a family full of honest Nazis. Finnish accordionist Veli Kujala,
composer and professor at the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki, will play a rare quarter-tone accordion.
This concert is organized in collaboration with HAMU
and Prague Conservatoire.
