Martin Hybler

(*1977)

graduated from Prague Conservatoire (Prof. Bohuslav Rehor) and from Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (Prof. Vaclav Riedlbauch). In 2000 he was the youngest author whose work ("Remembering – Hommage a Zdenek Fibich") was premiered at the Prague Spring festival. His works appeared several times at Prague Premieres festival (2004, 2005 and 2007). His works are performed and premiered also at festivals abroad, e.g. at International Contemporary Music Festival Silk Sound Road in Bishkek (2002) or Klagenspuren Festival in Innsbruck where his work "Oligarch Globalizer - Monopolously Democratic Fantasy on the Earth Owner" for chamber ensemble was premiered. He spent six months at Hochshcule für Musik in Hamburg with prof. W. A. Schultz. Since October 2005 he works on his doctoral thesis at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with prof. Ivan Kurz. His creative forces are concentrated primarily on classical music. He writes for diverse instrument groupings, his music is intended both for concert as well as theatre stages. He arranges and instruments music by old masters, popular music and jazz. He is active musician too, also as accompanist at the Ballet Conservatory.
